Steno 24/7 on You Tube

CARTOON STENO LADYI just wanted to drop a quick line to let everyone know that I changed my You Tube dictation channel for Court Reporters and the like from my name Sandra Clay Hunter to Steno 24/7.  Just so that there is no confusion.  Please like, share, and subscribe if you like the channel.  I could use the support from other Court Reporters even if you don’t need the dictations. Well, just wanted to put that out there. Thanks for reading and practice, practice, practice, even if you don’t use my channel. Thanks everyone and Happy Writing.

The Complete Court Reporter’s Handbook

Yes, I know I have been neglecting my website, but for good reason.  I have been working on my steno, which means practicing until I’m exhausted and also adding new videos to my You Tube channel, Steno 24/7.  I now have over 100 videos and I plan to add many more. Please come and check it out. I have medical, literary, and Q & A. I want to concentrate on these three but I’ll also have dictation that is not timed, to stay current with the news. I want this channel to grow and be useful to everyone, including Plover users, but I can’t go into that now, but you can go to Plover. com (open stenography) and check that out on your own.
The reason for this post is to say, I, being a court reporter going back to the field, it is only natural that I would need a review of the procedures and practices, so I began looking for books that would help me brush up my skills. I came across Better World Books and saw that one of the books that was about $154.00 on Amazon and Ebay for less than $20.00 at Better World Books. com. That book is titled, “The Complete Court Reporter’s Handbook, by Mary H. Knapp and it is amazing.
I remember a book similar to this while and school and I know I needed it but on my income I just could not afford to pay that much for one book. This is book is in great shape, no writing in it at all.
I also purchased, Machine Transcription and Dictation thinking it would be useful as well since that is a major part of Court Reporting. I got both books for under $25.00 and shipping and handling was free. Don’t you love free? This book also is in perfect condition. No writing, smears, ect. I will eventually sell them when I am done with them and I hope to keep them in great condition as well so that someone else can benefit from them.
Well I just wanted you to know that with a little searching for the books you need can save you thousands of dollars in the long run. I have even found great books at thrift stores and used book stores in my area. So don’t be afraid to shop around before you purchase any books. And a good start is the site mentioned above.  I’m so happy right now.  I love when I get a bargain for something I really need. Well, thanks for reading and Happy Writing!
